Gone Diving - Florida Keys in April

Posted Jan. 19, 2008

Well, we're not going to be there for the entire month, but the Scuba Shack staff will be enjoying the hospitality available in Key Largo from April 12 through 23. That's right, we'll be there for 11 days, with instructors on hand to complete Open Water certification dives, the Advanced Open Water courses and specialty programs.

Accommodations are available - through Scuba Shack - for any portion of dates between April 12 and April 23. You may choose a hotel room at the Marina Del Mar Resort, or camp with the Scuba Shack staff at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. If you make your own arrangements, you can join us for diving and other activities during the week.

For diving, Scuba Shack has reserved one of Ocean Divers' 50-foot custom dive boats each day for two dives in the morning, and two dives in the afternoon. Twenty-eight spots are available each morning and each afternoon; all on a space available basis. Remember to contact Scuba Shack to make your reservations in advance.

As one of the most respected diving operations in the Florida Keys, Ocean Divers is a PADI 5-start Career Development Center that has been in business for more than 20 years.

Other Activities
On April 17, we've arranged a day trip to Key West and a tour of Mel Fisher's Non-Profit Maritime Museum. Opened in 2002, the museum displays some of the many valuable gold, silver and jeweled pieces from the Nuestra Senora de Atocha, a sunken Spanish Galleon discovered in 1985, and other shipwrecks discovered by Fisher and his family. Today's the Day! Admission to the museum is a reasonable $11, and $9.50 for kids. We'll be going out for dinner in Key West that evening.

This is a custom, a-la-cart priced trip. Please call Scuba Shack if you have any questions.

Trip Dates April 12-23, 2008 (Saturday to Wednesday, 12 days). Pick any combination of days to visit!
